So, I gained 1.6 pounds this week. Sadly, I’m not surprised by this at all. With school being so hectic before spring break I just didn’t have time to keep up with taking care of myself the way I should. I wrote more about it here. Oddly enough, I think a lot of it is water. Since I “gained” 2lbs in a night and I feel crazy bloated. Just the way things are fitting lets me know I’m puffy. Its crazy how much a few unhealthy meals (not just high calorie) can change your body. I feel like I’m so sensitive now that I’ve been eating really clean. Either way, still on my weight loss journey. So hopefully next week is better.
EXERCISE: This week I managed to get in 3 lifting sessions, 4 runs and, 1 circuit workout. The runs were okay, but not the best.
DIET: This is where I really had a hard time this week. With studying for exams I didn’t have time to go get groceries. Let alone meal prep. I was doing okay calorie wise with the few things I had and mostly nutrition-wise until Sunday/Monday. Sunday night is when I feel off the wagon because all I had was pasta and bagels. Monday after my 6 hour exam I treated myself with taco bell. Yep. I had no food and no time so I wanted something quick and cheap. I also wanted the thing I’ve been craving since December so I let it happen….and HOLY O CRAP was I bloated Tuesday. Calories and weight loss isn’t everything folks. Just changing my diet to nutritionally unhealthy things rocked by body. Even just a the few hours after lunch my body was cramping. It really reinforces the fact that I’m making more healthy changes than just losing weight. Its about fueling my body and treating it right. All that said, it just made me want to get back onto my healthy eating plan.
